Visitors!

Goodness gracious it has been way too long since I have done this.  I have been so busy since school started and have definitely been lagging.  In the past few weeks a ton has been going on and one of the highlights was when my dad and Richard came to visit me in Boston.  We had so much fun, of course we ate and drank too much but I suppose that is a given.  I plan on being lazy with this post because I have some reading to do (see Dad, I am paying attention in class) so I am just going to post some pictures from their visit and highlight some of the fun things we did.  Enjoy!

Dad enjoying a beer at The Union Oyster House, it is the oldest restaurant in America!

Richard having his first Boston Sam Adams

Sam Adams grave, gotta pay tribute to the man who provides such great beer

Stopped by Cheers and had a beer at the actual place they filmed the show, although I was like 4 when it was on, it was still cool

Wine at Bacco, it is a little blurry but it is actually quite representative of our state of mind

Looking inquisitive

Still cannot get over this...

If you look closely you will find a man hanging upside down in a straight jacket...later he said, "yeah, i got out..." (that was an Old School reference for all you comedians out there)

Waiting for our table at The Barking Crab..excellent seafood!

Hmm I think the lady in this picture is the one wearing the UT colors..something is wrong with that

I want to say this drink was called the electric eel but part of me also feels like I am completely making that up...It was delicious but quite sugary

Pretty City

Richard explaining to Jacobi who "Arnold" the cartoon character is (he was sitting on top of the large Children's Museum to the left)

Nice shot of the restaurant

Being silly at Fiore, the person who took this picture was beyond weirded out

Birthday brunch at Lucky's, it was Frank Sinatra themed and really fun!

Took a trolly tour after brunch, actually is a great way to see the city!

I am actually not quite sure what to say about this picture...

The USS Constitution, I offended someone on the boat when I asked what was so special about this particular boat...I later saw the same man buying a t shirt and hat and it was clear he was a pretty serious USS Constitution fan, I am happy for him

I should have stolen that life raft and sent it to the big fan later as an anonymous gift...but then I would be in jail and not "blogging".

Yup.

The receptionist person was like hold on let me grab you a prop for that picture...then he came out with a freaking gasket! He clearly had no clue who he was handing a gun to

Trouble

This was the silliest I could get them to be in the pic but it will do

Two sailors+A pug not drugs shirt=A totally normal situation

Fenway Park! Go Yellow Sox...that is what they are called right?

Having a beer at Bleacher Bar, a place where you can actually watch the game from the bar

Looking at pictures of Sinclair the pug while wearing a pug shirt also = normal...right?

If you look really closely you can see Sam Adams and Paul Revere having a beer in the window...a strange sighting seeing as how they are both dead

Birthday dinner! We pretty much had to ask for it, even though we told the non talkative waiter it was my birthday

I wished for _____

Remembering that I am 26...

Who knows what was said

You can look but you cannot have any!

Taking the T

Bold move of trying a Boston margarita...it did not go so well

But I guess we will still drink it...

America's Next Top Non Models

Well that is about it.  All in all it was a fun weekend and it helped me to see a lot of the places around town that I probably would not have made it to (like the USS Constitution, sorry obsessed guy).  Seeing people from home is a great reminder of who you are and always brings a smile to my face.  Always live in the now, but definitely cherish those who helped make you who you are today.  Until next time...

Food and things

Some pictures I have taken but not been able to formulate into a blog post:

We went to a concert (surprising?) near Fenway..favorite was Foster the People, their album Torches is fantastic

 Jen and Jacobi photo shoot:

(I wasn't actually pulling her hair...I think)

New York picture...

The City at night

Teddy, the cutest little mut ever and an excellent roommate, he cooks spaghetti!

Italian food at Fiore on The North End.

I have never seen such funny looking pasta! Cute.

Spinach, yum.

That is the best I can do today...sometimes pictures just say it all.
